Monthly Dinners
GRSS members gather outside of our monthly meeting to enjoy food and friendship. Please feel free to join us at one of these casual dinners!
Dinners begin at 4:30.
November 22: 5:30pm: Kaiser’s Kitchen (note the time change and the date change to a Friday evening) 700 E Main St, Lowell, MI
December 15: Pietro's 2780 Birchcrest Dr SE Grand Rapids, MI

Cultural Heritage Festival
Thank you to everyone who came out to participate in the Cultural Heritage Festival at the Grand Rapids Public Museum on Saturday, November 2nd.
Kids Food Basket

Kalamazoo Scottish Highland Festival

Sparta Celtic Festival
Sparta Celtic Festival was a success this year! Thank you to all of the GRSS members who came out to man the table on Saturday, August 10th!
Holland Celtic Festival
Thank you to all the GRSS members who came out to man the table at the Holland Celtic Festival on Saturday, June 22nd.
Thank You Debbie!
On May 1st, the GRSS membership thanked Debbie Christy for 17 years of faithful service as Treasurer on the GRSS Board. She was given a card, gifts, and flowers.
Tartan Day Luncheon
On April 13th the Kalamazoo Valley and Grand Rapids Scottish Societies met for a fun and informal luncheon at Salvino's in Wayland. Our two groups enjoyed mingling and had a nice afternoon together!
Tartan Day Festival
On Saturday April 6th members of the GRSS attended the 2nd annual Tartan Day Festival at River Saint Joe Farm and Brewery. Thanks to all the GRSS members who participated and to those who drove the 90 minutes south to come out and enjoy an afternoon celebrating all things Scottish!
Robert Burns Supper 2024
On January 20, 2024 the GRSS membership joined forces with Doric Lodge, a local Masonic group, to host a traditional Burns Supper. The GRSS holds this supper annually in honor of Scotland's favorite bard (poet), Robert Burns.

Christmas Party
A grand time was had by all at the annual Christmas party on December 6th!
St. Andrew's Day Dinner
On Friday, November 17th, several members gathered for our annual St. Andrew's Day dinner at Keisers Kitchen in Lowell, MI.
Cultural Heritage Festival
For over a decade the GRSS has participated in the annual Cultural Heritage Festival at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Thank you to all the GRSS members who came out to man the table!
Kids Food Basket
A few GRSS members met on Tuesday, October 24th to volunteer making sacked dinners for children in need. Kids Food Basket is a wonderful local organization that provides these nutritious dinner bags through the schools here in West Michigan.
Kalamazoo Scottish Festival
Saturday, September 9th was a beautiful day to attend the Kalamazoo Scottish Festival and Highland Games. The GRSS once again manned a tent.
Sparta Celtic Festival
Saturday, August 12th was a lovely day for the GRSS to man a table at the Sparta Celtic Festival. We have participated in this fantastic local festival for years!
GRSS Summer Picnic
Sunday afternoon, July 23rd, members gathered for the annual GRSS summer picnic held at the Adams family home. It was a lovely afternoon, the food was great, and the fellowship even better!
Tartan Day Luncheon
The first ever Tartan Day Luncheon was a success! Members from the Grand Rapids Scottish Society and the Kalamazoo Scottish Festival Association gathered in Wayland, MI (halfway point between our two cities) for a luncheon. Everyone enjoyed mingling and making new friends.
Both groups agree that this should become a new annual tradition!
Burns Supper
