Sparta Celtic Festival

Saturday, August 12th was a lovely day for the GRSS to man a table at the Sparta Celtic Festival. We have participated in this fantastic local festival for years!

GRSS Summer Picnic

Sunday afternoon, July 23rd, members gathered for the annual GRSS summer picnic held at the Adams family home. It was a lovely afternoon, the food was great, and the fellowship even better!

Tartan Day Luncheon

The first ever Tartan Day Luncheon was a success! Members from the Grand Rapids Scottish Society and the Kalamazoo Scottish Festival Association gathered in Wayland, MI (halfway point between our two cities) for a luncheon. Everyone enjoyed mingling and making new friends.

Both groups agree that this should become a new annual tradition!

Burns Supper

In late January 2023 the GRSS membership joined forces with Doric Lodge, a local Masonic group, to host a traditional Burns Supper. The GRSS holds this supper annually in honor of Scotland's favorite bard (poet), Robert Burns.
